Aluminium CNC miling and custom plastic products
Aluminium CNC stands for computer numerical control - this is automation of machine tools, operated by abstractly programmed commands encoded on a medium. You can see an example of aluminium CNC 3D here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlzWStZP5Iw. Aluminium is a great material for miling because it's a metal with a great ratio between mechanical properties, it's own weight and it's price. Aluminium CNC is possible for milling, casting and welding. Many companies use 5 axis aluminium CNC machining - this is connected to the option of the CNC machine to move a part or a tool on 5 different axes at the same time. Usually machines which weld aluminium or a custom plastic product can only move a part in two directions (X and Y), and can only move the tool up and down (Z). In comparison to aluminium, a custom plastic product is made because plastic materials like LDPE, HDPE and PP feature great mechanical properties, processing options, resistance and price. If customers don't want a custom plastic product, alternative materials are used for rotational moulding - like tampowood, tampostone and tampoglass.
